| Help The Fight Against Breast Cancer!!! |
| My mom, Winnie, was diagnosed with breast cancer on April 13, 2004. She's an amazing, tough-assed lady and she's going to pull through this, no doubt, but this disease has hit too many of us too close to home. Y-ME is a Chicago-based organization that provides information and support to breast cancer patients, survivors, families and friends. They have a 24-hour information line that is staffed by breast cancer survivors. Their mission is, and I quote from their website, "... to ensure, through information, empowerment and peer support, that no one faces breast cancer alone." This is an amazing group and I intend to continue raising funds for them in any way I can. Bookmark it and click every day- it costs you NOTHING and helps so many. Blessedly, Mom finished treatment in January, 2005 and her prognosis is EXCELLENT.
